The Wheatlake Center offers a variety of opportunities to learn more about cancer and wellness topics through interaction with on-site speakers. Health care and other professionals share their expertise and offer participants access to information and resources. These informal sessions provide a comfortable environment for questions and answers.
Cancer Awareness Series

Join us for our Series that provides the latest information on cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery presented by physicians and health care professionals. Topical presentations are designed to inform and educate with ample time to ask questions. The sessions are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the given month at the handicapped accessible Mecosta County Medical Center Professional Building, located at 705 Oak Street. Free of charge and open to everyone interested in learning more about cancer and wellness, we look forward to seeing you!

Topic: Melanoma with speaker Jim Hoerter from Ferris State University. This is the Dave Borth Memorial presentation.

The Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer and Wellness Center is a free comprehensive cancer resource and referral system, wellness network and support center providing assistance to women, men, children, families and caregivers.
The Wheatlake Center is a part of Mecosta County Medical Center and is supported by the Susan P. Wheatlake Women's Cancer and Wellness Fund which is an endowed fund that is held and managed by the Mecosta County Medical Center Foundation, a non-profit organization 501(c)3.
