The Wheatlake Center is home to our cancer lending library, a comprehensive selection of books, DVDs, and CDs focused on cancer-related topics for women, men and children. These resources provide cancer patients, their families and caregivers with the information that will better equip them to deal with a cancer diagnosis.
The relevance of our lending library collection is ensured through our partnership with the Warren Reynolds Library, the largest public cancer library in Michigan. Located in the Lacks Cancer Center of St. Mary's Health Care in Grand Rapids, Cancer Center Librarian Brett Powers, MSIS provides consultation regarding collection management.
Cancer Information Packets are available to help patients and their families understand their options. This free information is organized by cancer type.
| For visitor convenience a computer is available for free online cancer research. If requested, a volunteer will assist in retrieving the needed information. |

| | "Working with the Susan P. Wheatlake Committee was something I felt led to do. I wanted to honor some fabulous women who have touched my life and I wanted to give back to my community. Little did I know when I “joined up” that we would be opening a resource center that would benefit so many people in so many ways! This has truly been a journey that has given me much more than I have given it." | | |
