Wheatlake Women's Cancer and Wellness Fund provides financial support to the Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer and Wellness Center. The Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer and Wellness Center provides comprehensive sources of assistance to enlighten, encourage and empower those seeking cancer and wellness information and support. Goals for the Susan P. Wheatlake Women's Cancer and Wellness Fund and The Wheatlake Center Develop cancer and wellness resources. Support a comprehensive cancer and wellness program that provides opportunities for all constituents to participate in shaping the future of The Wheatlake Center. Steward all gifts and donors including volunteers. Steward all gifts and provide meaningful recognition of donor support and volunteer efforts. Educate the public about the need for and availability of cancer and wellness support services. Educate donors and future donors of the needs of The Wheatlake Center and encourage volunteers and future volunteers to join in the efforts to achieve the missions of the Wheatlake Fund and The Wheatlake Center. Create awareness in the medical and the cancer services communities of the offerings of The Wheatlake Center though utilization of all media outlets, our advocate group, the Key Communicators and focused networks such as the Northwest Michigan Regional Cancer Advisory Board. Provide wellness support to the citizens of our five county neighborhood of Lake, Mecosta, Montcalm, Newaygo and Osceola counties. Collaborate with Mecosta County Medical Center (MCMC) leadership and cancer and wellness related organizations. Collaborate with the MCMC Board of Trustees and administration, the MCMC Foundation Board and external cancer and wellness related organizations to provide cancer and wellness services. The Wheatlake Center is a part of Mecosta County Medical Center and is supported by the Susan P. Wheatlake Women's Cancer and Wellness Fund which is an endowed fund that is held and managed by the Mecosta County Medical Center Foundation, a non-profit organization 501(c)3.
